Nice StorageUpdated 9 months ago

At Nice Commerce, we only assess a storage fee for items over a two-month sell-through and we ONLY charge for the space you take up, and not the entire pallet.

Below is a great Infographic on the Nice Storage model:

How Storage is Calculated:

Volume is calculated by taking your product/ re-shipper dimensions ( Length in inches x width in inches x height in inches )

  • Volume is calculated by taking your product/ re-shipper dimensions:
    • LxHxW; Length in inches x Width in inches x Height in inches
  • That number is then divided that number by 166 (Based on the UPS volume calculator)

We have a calculator built into our website if you wanted to get a storage estimate HERE

Your products will fall into one of six size categories:

  • Under .5
  • Under 1
  • 1-2.49
  • 2.5-4.99
  • 5-9.99
  • 10 and above.

The pricing structure is laid out below:

  • Volume Less than .5: $.025 per unit per month | Example being a pair of socks
  • Volume Less than 1: $.05 per unit per month | Example being a t-shirt
  • Volume 1-2.49: $.10 per unit per month | Example being a 8-16oz bottle
  • Volume 2.5-4.99: $.20 per unit per month | Example being a purse or a handbag
  • Volume 5-9.99: $.30 per unit per month | Example being cookware
  • Volume 10 and Above: $.40 per unit per month | Example being small appliances and upward

Anything above a 2-Month sell-through would be billed as to the below:

  • Volume Less than .5: $.05 per unit per month
  • Volume Less than 1: $.10 per unit per month
  • Volume 1-2.49: $.20 per unit per month
  • Volume 2.5-4.99: $.40 per unit per month
  • Volume 5-9.99: $.60 per unit per month
  • Volume 10 and Above: $.75 per unit per month
Here is an example:
  • Day 1: You have 100 units of SKU XYZ
  • You sell 30 units per month
  • Day 60: you send 100 more units of SKU XYZ
  • Day 90: We run a report that shows that you have sold 90 units in 90 days with 110 left in stock.
  • 110 units in stock - 60 unit sell-through = 20 units that did not meet the sell-through.
  • You will be billed for storage only on those 20 units. Even though you have 110 units in stock.

Our Accounts Team will work to show what inventory is meeting thresholds and work with you to assist in moving your goods. Our goal is to make sure your stock does not remain stagnant.
