Generic- Generic Label ProcessingUpdated 9 months ago

This article clarifies the internal process at Nice Commerce for shipping orders labeled as "Generic/Third Party or Freight" for their Shipping Method/Shipping Carrier.

The term "Generic" is to describe orders that need to be shipped with specific shipping requirements. These requirements often involve the use of a third-party shipping account, a provided label, or other special arrangements that do not align with the standard fulfillment process of Nice Commerce.

When tasked with shipping for a retailer, it's crucial to research their policies and how orders should be shipped per their standards and requirements. If so, encourage the retailer to provide this information at least 10 days before order processing. This timeframe allows for the seamless integration and documentation of the account into ShipHero and our process documentation, thereby reducing the need for manual processing.

Due to the complexity and care needed, each Generic/ Generic order that is processed from Nice requires manual data input, as well as separate fulfillment from a supervisor. There is a $10 per order fee associated with this service.

  • As a preface, Nice Commerce encourages our clients to align details and pertinent facts well in advance of a small to mid-size retail fulfillment partner being brought on.
  • This allows Nice to set up any third-party billing in advance into ShipHero directly to dissuade from using the Generic/ generic shipping process.

The timeframe for processing these orders varies based on the unit count, order volume, and complexity of the request. Please connect with your Account Manager
