Verify an AddressUpdated 10 months ago

When does Address verification happen?

Address verification happens in ShipHero when the order comes over from your store.

The verification process happens automatically where you can tell if the system has "approved" of the address if it has been updated with all capital letters:

Does the Nice Team look at orders that are not verified?

The Nice Team will ship orders with verified addresses quickly but will also take small steps if the address has not been verified.

Example of small updates the Nice Team will make:

Co. Road to HWY / Blvd. to Boulevard / Unit #12 to Unit 12.

REMINDER: The Nice Fulfillment team only makes small updates to addresses.

If the Nice Team cannot verify an address, what steps are taken?

If more address work is needed, the Nice fulfillment team will immediately place the order on Operator Hold to be addressed by the Nice Warehouse Managers or Nice Accounts team. If further work is needed from there, the Warehouse Manager or Accounts Team will update the Operator Hold to an Address Hold to show that the order needs address assistance. HERE is our Hold Knowledge Base if you'd like to see that information.

What steps can I (the client) take to verify an address?

1. If you know or think the address is good to go, you can enable "Ignore Address Verification Errors" within the order in the Order Details sections. This will force ShipHero to recognize the shipping address as being complete:

IMPORTANT Troubleshooting Tips and Tricks

1. For Domestic Shipments:

a. PO Boxes - be sure that you lise "PO BOX (number) is listed in Address 1. PO BOX shipping addresses will only include this information

b. Highways or County Roads; Be sure to look up what Google or another site recommends to list

c. US Territories; Select the country and the State will mirror that country:

d. Military Addresses - check out THIS KB article on how to properly format addresses

2. For International shipments:

a. Typically the length of an address will throw an error. Be sure to edit the shipping address where you use the Company Line, Address 1, and Address 2.
