USPS Ground Advantage launched on July 10th, 2023 as a new shipping offering combining USPS Retail Ground, First-Class Package, and Parcel Select into one unified service.

With the product's launch, USPS is retiring three offerings: 

• USPS Retail Ground
• USPS Parcel Select Ground
• and USPS First-Class Package Service

as well as Ground Returns and First-Class Package Return Services.

The enhanced ground solution, Ground Advantage, provides a more efficient shipping experience and consistent transit logistics that align USPS closer to competitors like UPS and FedEx. 

Since USPS launched Ground Advantage, we have been tracking its performance and impact to label costs where we have seen a 5% decrease in packages over 1lb and we expect to see more decreases in the coming months.

Our WMS partner, Shiphero, has already mapped this change in their system, and we are working to finalize changes to billing and automation rules on our end. While you should be seeing USPS Advantage listed beside orders in your dashboard, any orders still shipping out as USPS First Class will still be honored by the carrier through September.
