Generic Shipping Methods in ShipHeroUpdated 8 months ago
We use Generic carrier methods for all non-standard shipments.
When manual orders are created and the order is not being shipped Cheapest -> Fastest (NC carrier), the appropriate Generic Method must be selected for accurate shipment of the order.
The below Generic methods are the current methods that need to be set to ensure that we know how to fulfill the order if there are any of the below scenarios:
- Generic/ Pick Up
- When you are coming by to pick up the order. All pickup orders must be scheduled in advance using this calendar.
- Generic/ Third Party
- A third-party carrier account was used (i.e. not a Nice Commerce carrier account). A label must be sent along with this order or it will be shipped by a Nice Commerce account.
- Generic/ Freight
- Similar to a Third Party method, but this method will be on a pallet(s) and will require freight brokering.
