Amazon FBA Shipments and How to EnterUpdated 8 months ago

WHAT ARE FBA SHIPMENTS?

FBA stands for "Fulfillment by Amazon" where bulk units are sent to different Amazon fulfillment centers for Amazon to store and fulfill our clients' orders.
Amazon uses a network of distribution centers throughout the country and world where FBA shipments can be directed to Charlotte, Dallas, etc. Shipments are created when replenishment is needed for a product or in prep for a busy time of year (Prime Day, Black Friday, and more.)

WHAT IS AMAZON PREP?

Units for Amazon require an approved barcode or Amazon's own proprietary ASIN to be applied to all units.
Units also may need to be polybagged depending on the type of product requirements, or other additional steps taken depending on the product type. For example, Amazon requires 2 seals for applicable physical products but rules are applied depending on the product type

To get units ready for FBA, you have three options.

1. Your products are approved to ship as is or your manufacturer/ co-packer is able to complete any Amazon prep needed. Depending on how quickly your products move, some brands choose to have Amazon-specific SKUs to maintain sales and inventory

2. Nice Commerce is able to complete FBA prep through our inbound or outbound SOW processes. Pricing depends on the project, but your per-unit rate decreases with volume.

3. For a set per-unit fee and if the products qualify, Amazon is able to prep your units upon arrival as the first step to their receiving process. Check-in timelines will vary based on how quickly Amazon preps the units.

HOW TO ENTER AN AMAZON FBA SHIPMENT INTO SHIPHERO:

Getting this right is very important to make sure we are following both the Nice Commerce Guidelines and the Amazon FBA Guidelines.

If you would like Nice Commerce to log into your Seller Central please reach out to your Account Manager to discuss this process. To note, an ad-hoc charge is to be submitted for the admin time taken to fulfill the order on Seller Central at a rate of $45 an hour.
If you would like to add a manual FBA order to ShipHero, send Nice Commerce Amazon case + shipping labels, and have Nice Commerce process an Amazon shipment. These will be processed by our B2B Shipping team similar to a Generic / Third Party order.

Steps for adding an FBA Shipment to ShipHero and using client-provided Amazon Case + Shipping labels:

1. If Amazon prep is required for the Amazon shipment (case packing, labeling, bagging, etc.) then message [email protected] to request an Amazon SOW project.
2. Manually add an FBA order into ShipHero using the following Order Number format:
"FBA_shipmentI.D. (Ex.   FBA_ 123678923)
  • Orders have to be added in individual units
  • Set the shipping Carrier and Method to Generic / Third Party or Freight
  • The order number (FBA_shipmentID) will trigger a rule for the FBA shipment to be placed into our Amazon order process.
3. Your provided Amazon Case labels and Shipping labels need to be added to your Drive with the FBA shipment ID as the name for the file/s (matching the FBA order). Please add it under the proper "Shipping" folder

4. Once the shipment is processed with the case labels and shipping labels added, Nice will have the carrier scan the Amazon packages to update the tracking
